Cliff’s 5th Annual Juneteenth Festival, “A Celebration of Freedom” in Compton


On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Sr. Cliff’s Texas Style Burritos Restaurant sponsored the 5th Annual Juneteenth Festival, titled “A Celebration of Freedom” in Compton. This event showcased talented artists performing R&B, jazz, spoken word, and spiritual music, promoting peace, unity, and hope among all attendees. Cliff Williams, the owner, expressed his excitement about this year’s Juneteenth celebration, saying, “This will be the best Juneteenth Celebration ever”.



The event featured a lineup of impressive performers, with the headliner being Phazze One. Cliff and Brass Bell Productions did an outstanding job bringing together these artists to entertain the community and celebrate this special day, with DJ Super Dude serving as the host.




This celebration is one of the many ways Mr. Williams and his family support the community. As a Texas native, Juneteenth has always held significant meaning for Cliff and his family. Sr. Cliff’s Texas Style Burritos Restaurant has served the Compton community for many years, providing delicious food that keeps customers coming back. Founded in 1992 on Alondra Blvd, it has become a favorite spot for residents and visitors alike.


Cliff is known for his warmth and engagement with customers, having created jobs for his family and many others, thus contributing to the local economy. With a rich history in Compton, Cliff has witnessed the city’s growth around him. He remains committed to serving the community and actively participates in neighborhood events. Cliff Williams is not only a businessman but also a community leader, cherished by those who know him. Compton City Councilmembers Jonathan Bowers, 3rd District, and Lillie Darden, 4th District, attended and presented Delores and Cliff Williams with a recognition award for their work and contributions to the City of Compton.







Other performers at the event included The Diamonds, Kristine Renea, Andre Ray, Damon Dae, and DJ Super Dude. Overall, this Juneteenth celebration at Sr. Cliff’s Texas Style Burritos Restaurant was a wonderful day for the Compton community, filled with fantastic entertainment and a meaningful celebration of unity, peace, and prosperity.
