An Award-Winning Educational Experience
The 2026 Eighth Grade Class of Wilders Preparatory Academy Charter Middle School held its graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 10th, at Edward Vincent Park Amphitheater. The bright smiles, pride, and admiration filled up the amphitheater as hundreds of family and friends gathered to share this special day. It was a beautiful ceremony for this outstanding group of Eight Graders, and they displayed class and dignity as they each participated in their roles, whether small or large. The Inglewood community can also be proud of these excellent young citizens as they embark on the next chapter of their educational and life journeys.
Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter School in Inglewood is a highly regarded K–8 charter school recognized by state and federal education departments, as well as a leading university. It offers an award‑winning educational experience focused on nurturing each student’s unique talents.
The WPAC was founded by Carolyn and Raymond D. Wilder in 2003, who were dedicated to providing every student with the best possible educational experience. Today, the Mission statement is, ” Wilders Preparatory Academy Charter School is dedicated to developing lifelong learners, providing excellence in education for all students, and promoting the growth and development of productive citizens toward building and sustaining a humane, just, and global society. Our academic focus embraces a rigorous, research-based, college-preparatory curriculum that supports effective faculty teaching and promotes strong economic, intellectual, and pragmatic leadership in our students. “
City Pride Magazine had the chance to attend the graduation of the school’s 8th graders and was very impressed with the school and the quality of the graduating students. They have done an outstanding job, and students and teachers can be proud of what they are doing in the community.
Located in Inglewood, CA, Wilder’s 37,000-square-foot modern facility was built with urban schooling in mind. The academy has twenty-two large classrooms, three computer labs, a library, an art room, an indoor gym, a media lab, a cafeteria, a photography lab, a science lab, a study hall, and a music room.
