HIRE360 DIVERSITY HIRING EXPO ATTRACTS THOUSANDS TO CARSON

The HIRE Group successfully hosted its HIRE360 Diversity Hiring Expo in Carson at the Carson Event Center on Tuesday, June 30th. The event drew an overwhelming turnout of thousands of job seekers, making it one of the largest hiring events ever held at the venue.

Held under the leadership of Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes and Mayor Pro Tem Cedric L. Hicks Sr., the event created a powerful platform where opportunity met preparation. According to the City of Carson’s estimate, more than 7,000 job seekers were welcomed throughout the day. After completing the final count, they had 144 employers and community resource vendors participating in the HIRE360 Diversity Hiring Expo. Some job seekers begin lining up as early as 3:30 a.m., which speaks volumes about the tremendous need and desire for employment opportunities in our communities.

Throughout the day, attendees met directly with recruiters, submitted resumes, participated in interviews, and explored careers across numerous industries.

“The mission of The HIRE Group has always been simple: create opportunities that change lives,” said James W. Finley Jr. “When we help someone find meaningful employment, we strengthen families and communities.”

The HIRE Group extends its sincere appreciation to the City of Carson, participating employers, volunteers, community partners, sponsors, elected officials, and every job seeker who attended.

The event brought together employers and organizations who are actively hiring and engaging with candidates across a wide range of industries, including transportation, government, staffing, construction, and community services.  This was a mega career, resource and business expo that emphasized diversity, where everyone matters. No matter your background, your journey or your disability, there was a place for you at the HIRE 360 Diversity Hiring Expo.

The expo provided opportunities for veterans and military families, as well as second-chance and justice-impacted individuals, mature workers and career changers, entry level and first time job seekers, student graduates and young adults. There were also opportunities for skilled trades and apprenticeships, along with professional and executive careers.

This was a gigantic hiring expo and thousands patiently endured long lines waiting to get in front of employers. Every room in the Carson Event Center was filled with employers and job seekers. Hundreds of tables were manned by a variety of industries such as health care, transportation, law enforcement, government, manufacturing, technology, hospitality, and many more.
