Fontana Days Festival 2024
The Annual Fontana Days Festival, hosted by The Exchange Club of Fontana and the City of Fontana, took place from Thursday, May 30, to Sunday, June 2. The four-day event offered a range of activities for children and adults to enjoy, including music, food, and community engagement.
This year’s festival theme was “Let Freedom Ring,” featuring diverse entertainment, such as DJ Aaron Reyes, who provided a lively music ambiance throughout the event. On Thursday, Plena Vista Music Entertainment and the popular R&B & Jazz group B.I.G. (Brothers Igniting a Groove) graced the stage. Friday’s lineup included a special tribute to Tina Marie by Monique Renee and the unique R&B stylings of Shenanigans, among other performers. Several other groups performed throughout the weekend, including J Boykins, Carol Lynne Dancers, Ballet Folklorico Tierra De Mi Padre, Route 66 Dancers, DND Entertainment, Valverdi Performing Arts, Reginal Alexander and the Spirit of Love Christion Church Choir
Saturday was packed with excitement, showcasing thrilling carnival rides for kids and an array of delectable food options. The Exchange Club of Fontana also recognized and awarded organizations, including the Fontana Leadership Intervention Program (FLIP), a commendable initiative focused on developing leadership skills among students facing challenges.
The Exchange Club, a dedicated volunteer service organization, has been a critical pillar of support for the Fontana community, organizing various events and programs to enrich the lives of local youth.
Brock Champion, the president of the Exchange Club of Fontana, stated, “This annual fundraiser, which started in 1953, is the primary source of funding for this leading service organization. We have been dedicated to enriching the well-being of youth in the Fontana area. All sponsorship funds are tax-deductible donations. We always need business and community support to help us maintain this tradition.”
The funds raised from the festival contribute to scholarships for seven high schools in the Fontana Unified School District, as well as support for youth sports and activities. The Fontana Days Festival and Parade are an integral part of Fontana’s civic pride, bringing the community together annually. The Exchange Club and the City of Fontana volunteers are essential contributors to the city’s vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere, and their dedication is truly appreciated.
