Diamond Singers Perform To Sold Out Crowd at the Crystal Hotel

The beautiful and dazzling Diamond Singers performed to a sold-out banquet room at the Crystal Hotel & Casino on July 19, 2025. This dynamic female vocal group celebrates six years together performing as R&B singers.

The Diamond Singers are one of the top female groups in Southern California.  They are a unique blend of old-school and contemporary R&B, Jazz, Spiritual, and Pop music. They are a seasoned group of gorgeous women with all the right spices, including harmony, style, grace, and beauty.

 Peaches, Jeannie, Sassy, and Glossy make up the group today.  The name ‘Diamond’ was created by April Miller (Peaches) in honor of her mom, and the idea of Diamond becoming a group of singers had always been April’s dream.

Reflecting on the traditional Motown revues, which are still quite popular today, April wanted to create something unique and different. She loved the movie “Sparkle” and decided to perform a Sparkle Revue. Everyone remembers the original 1976 film “Sparkle,” featuring Irene Cara, as well as the 2012 remake with Jordin Sparks—and the memorable songs from both!

 Diamond’s mission has always been, and will continue to be, to exhibit class, elegance, and dignity while singing soulful songs, performing creative choreography, wearing stylish costumes, and maintaining a fun-loving party spirit to engage the audience. 

This was a special promotion by City Pride Magazine, offering a unique opportunity to give back to the community by providing local entertainment. City Pride Magazine is funding a training center for youth and adults interested in pursuing careers in media.

The Diamond Singers’ performance at the Crystal Hotel was exceptional. Residents from Compton, Los Angeles, Carson, Long Beach, and other nearby areas had the chance to see this amazing group.
