Delta Sigma Theta Host “Meet the Candidates Forum in Compton

The Compton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. hosted the “Meet the Candidates” forum on Saturday, May 2, at the Crystal Hotel and Event Space, located at 123 E. Artesia Blvd, Compton, CA 90220.

This forum brought together candidates from various local, state, and federal races, including mayoral, city council, school board, and judicial and congressional positions. With the upcoming primary election, the event provided an important opportunity for community members to hear directly from candidates about their platforms, priorities, and plans to serve the residents of Compton.

The goal of this forum was to increase voter awareness, promote civic engagement, and ensure that the community is informed and empowered ahead of the primary election. The venue was filled with local residents, community leaders, and stakeholders.
