Compton Grocery Outlets Provide Forum For Local Candidates

Just days before the June 2nd elections, the Compton Grocery Outlet hosted an outdoor forum for candidates running for local offices. Owners Gary and Kathy Naylor provided the community with an opportunity to enjoy the sunshine while listening to discussions about improving Compton. Candidates for mayor, city council, city clerk, state assembly, school board, and other positions gathered to showcase their qualifications and explain why the community should support them.

The forum was moderated by Judge Kelvin Filer, who effectively guided the discussions and asked insightful questions.

Gary Naylor, co-owner of Grocery Outlet, stated, “We at Grocery Outlet have always been a big part of the city, and we felt obligated to hold this event to give our community a chance to engage with the people who want to run our government.”

It was a great day in Compton, a very inspiring event in the parking lot of the Compton Grocery Outlet. Gary and Kathy Naylor have been working with the Compton community, providing healthy food and groceries while also reaching out to community organizations to offer support and partnership. They have been doing a great job not only in providing great deals on groceries but also in helping the Compton environment.
