CUSD 5th Annual STEAM Fest at Compton College
By Charles Jackson Jr.
At CUSD’s 5th Annual STEAMFest, Compton Unified scholars displayed their extraordinary talents, showcasing innovations in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) to create innovative new products and have fun.
This was an excellent opportunity for CUSD students to learn about majors and careers in the arts and tech. Art and Technology came to life, and the community was able to watch live school performances. There was hands-on fun with partners like Rivian, Waymo, Boeing, Sony, Lego, Home Depot, and more! Legendary DJ Toddy Tee brought the beats to the 5th Annual STEAMFest.
The CUSD STEAMFest significantly displayed community involvement in their children’s future. Compton Unified School District, led by Vice President of the School Board Satra Zurita, held the best Steam Fest ever at the Compton College campus, where thousands of students and their families participated.
