Compton 69th Annual Christmas Parade
The City of Compton hosted its 69th Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 14th. This historic event celebrated the Christmas spirit, with the theme “A Holly Jolly Hub City” for this year. Thousands of community members gathered along the streets to enjoy the sights and sounds of a heartfelt celebration filled with love and kindness during the festive season.
Compton, often celebrated as the Hub City of Los Angeles, sits at the heart of a vibrant cluster of cities in LA County, including Los Angeles, Long Beach, Inglewood, Carson, Lynwood, Paramount, Gardena, Downey, Hawthorne, Southgate, and San Pedro. Compton is making incredible progress in its educational achievement and is now leading in national and statewide categories. This 69th Annual Compton Parade comes at a good time. People are fighting against hate and are being threatened with a horrifying future. The unity and love displayed at their 69th Annual Compton Parade proved why this community is so unique. Everybody was smiling and beaming with pride. Marchers and participants walked or rode proudly down Compton Blvd to show that they are affiliated with excellence and are working to make this a better community. Everybody was there because it was the place to be. The 69th Annual Compton Parade was the “Best”!
