Major Baseball Organizations Unite and Host Youth Clinic

Don Buford Educational Sports Institute, USC Dedeaux Foundation, Compton Unified School District and Baseball Generations came together to host a baseball/softball clinic with Compton Unified Middle Schools on January 21, 8am to 1pm at Dominguez High School in Compton.

The program featured over 300 middle school students along with current and former professional baseball players Don Buford (Baltimore Orioles), Dominic Smith (New York Mets), Garry Templeton (San Diego Padres), Hubie Brooks (New York Mets), , George Hinshaw (San Diego Padres) Rudy Law, Darrell Jackson (Minnesota Twins) , Dayle Campbell, Chuck Stone, Damon Buford.

Don Buford Educational Sports Institute (ESI) is a non-profit founded by Don Buford and Doug Takaragawa (former MLB Scout). The organization was formed to support the expansion of baseball in communities with little exposure or funds to enjoy and participate in America’s favorite pastime, the sport of baseball.

USC Dedeaux Foundation is a non-profit formed after famed USC baseball coach Rod Dedeaux.
