Community Says Farewell to Therapy Dog, Prince Bailey
Woodland Hills, CA, June 5, 2023: The bond between humans and animals goes beyond mere companionship; they become cherished members of our families. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Prince Bailey, our beloved therapy dog, on his sweet 16th Birthday, Monday, June 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM at VCA Parkwood Animal Hospital. The decision to bid farewell to our dear Prince Bailey was a deeply difficult one for his owner, Aydiee Vaughn, a renowned recording artist. For over 13 years, Prince Bailey had been an invaluable presence in
Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, and Burbank, touching countless lives with his unwavering love and compassio. Prince Bailey and his dedicated team embarked on weekly visits to senior homes, hospitals, hospice centers, assisted living facilities, public libraries, public and private schools, COVID relief events, holiday caroling events, and the Annual PAWS 4 Kisses & Hugs, which honored local LAFD Fire Stations in memory of 911.
Together, they brought comfort, joy, and healing to those in need, leaving an indelible mark on the community they served. To commemorate the extraordinary life of Prince Bailey, Aydiee Vaughn, with her exceptional event planning expertise, collaborated with Babette Shade, the Director of Catering & Banquets at Hilton Woodland Hills Hotel. Together, they orchestrated a “Red Carpet” farewell celebration on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Hilton Woodland Hills Hotel’s exquisite two-story Icon room. The ceremony was adorned with teal and blue tones, angel wings, and clouds, with a butterfly flare, symbolizing Prince Bailey’s transformative journey. Invited quests were treated to a gourmet buffet, delectable desserts, cocktails, and appetizers, fostering an atmosphere of love and appreciation. A specially curated Kiss & Cuddle Lounge, featuring a round plush rug, teal throw pillows, and a teal angel wing backdrop, provided a serene space for quests to capture their final moments with the Lil Prince.
The Hilton Woodland Hills Hotel went above and beyond by creating a fantastical doggie station, aptly named the “Angel Food” buffet, which showcased mini slider burgers, chicken fries, and Chef Michael’s premium dry kibble, laid out exclusively for Prince Bailey’s furry friends. Distinguished community VIPs from PetSmart, Motion Picture TV Fund Hospital, Fallbrook Glen Senior Living, Premier America Credit Union, Susan Daycare & Boarding, SF Valley Animal Search & Rescue, Living Bread Waters Ministry, Good Dog K9 Training, Have Mercy, Kobelin by Shem, Emmee Agency, JKL Studios, and BLMentertainment/Black Lucy Music & Flmnkey, graced the event with their overwhelming outpouring
of love and support for our local therapy dog and his devoted mom. The night was nothing short of extraordinary.
